ADD USERS

Use the in-app help menu to invite your teammates to Salesforce Essentials.

1. Select Add Users.

Connect Your Email.

2. Complete information about your new user and click Finish.

3. You’ll be able to see how many licenses are still available to assign on the bottom left corner of the pop up window.

When you create new users, you’ll need to assign a profile to each one: profiles define what users have access to in Salesforce and what they can do within the application.

The three types of profiles available in Salesforce Essentials are System Administrator, Standard User, and Read Only.

  • System Administrators are able to customize your Salesforce org and have access to all functionality that does not require an additional license. This profile can edit any quota, override forecasts, and view any forecast. System Administrators are also responsible for user management, such as inviting new users and helping users with password resets.

  • Standard Users can create and edit most major types of records, run reports, and view your org’s setup. This profile can edit their personal quota and override forecasts.

  • Finally, Read Only users can view the org’s setup, run and export reports, and view other records.
